The thing I really enjoyed about this book was all the references to British rom com movies which are my favorite and I loved that every reference was a movie I’d seen. The book itself, however, was over 400 pages and way too long. The main character lacked depth and so much of the book was totally unrealistic (her friend falls into the Small World ride at Disneyland Paris and then escapes by putting on the Goofy suit? Huh?). Other than the movie quotes the ending was so unrealistic (running away at your own wedding to go be with the guy you’ve known for three weeks and missed once). Wish this book had been better but it was an okay chick lit read.

What a great book-a romantic comedy novel? Really enjoyable. Definitely a little predictable bit exactly what I needed for something light and enjoyable. It's like watching nothing hill, Bridget jones and sleepless in Seattle all at once. 3.5 stars

Burdened with stereotypes galore and a pitiful dishrag of an excuse for a heroine, it manages to be, nonetheless, more fun than it probably has any right to be. Desperately wished to see more of the side characters like Oscar and Ursula, who managed to be far more well-rounded and interesting than the main character.

An enjoyable romantic comedy. Scarlet is obsessed with the movies, and drifting away from the boredom of her day to day life with her fiance and working in the family business with her father. When she is offered a chance to house sit for someone in Notting Hill, she jumps at the chance telling her fiance and father that it will give her a chance to think about things and then come back to her life. However Notting Hill made hold some secrets and a mystery for her, that she may just get lost in and have to make some very serious decisions about her life and where it's headed.

this book was a WILD ride. i did enjoy it, don’t get me wrong but it lacked a few things. i didn’t like the character development of the main character. she was very one dimensional and childish. she frustrated me all throughout the book. also the side quest she was on kinda felt forced(??), it just didn’t feel it went along well with the book i guess. all in all i did enjoy the book just wish it had more depth. very easy read

DNF at page 90.

I don't quit books very often, even ones I don't like that much, but I have to draw the line somewhere. Every character in this was some sort of stereotype, the plot 20 percent of the way in was just recycled movie scenes, and then toss in a stunning dash of racism. I was just done. I should have read some reviews before I even gave 90 pages of my time.

If the title is what drew you to this book, then it will be the perfect read. Scarlett's obsession is ridiculous unless you understand her love of movies. All the film references had me constantly squealing and thoroughly annoying all my friends for the short 3 days that it took to read. If you love classic movies and adorably cliche chic lit, read this book now!

This book has been on my Kindle forever!! I even took it off for a while, I was almost decided to let it go... I’m really glad I decided to go ahead and read it. It’s a fun chick lit where the main character, Scarlett, is a major movie lover and loves to reference movies in her day to day life.
