These little short stories kept me amused for the afternoon. I always love a bit of Sookie Stackhouse.

5 very short stories to fill in some of the blanks. Worth borrowing from the library if you need a quick read or a Sookie fix, but I wouldn't buy it.

I actually read all of these stories separately in the books they came from...I got them all from the library. I did read them again in this format and they were all still just as cute but I could see how people could be confused because it seems a little choppy and all over the place. These stories were not meant to be read all together and back to back but it did provide some readers with the convenience of not having to hunt down each individual story.

i'm kind of worried that my sookie love is waning. the last book didn't suit me and this compilation, in a word= boring. i'm very glad i waited for this book to make it to the library because the $23.95 price tag is outrageous.

out of the 5 stories i only liked one- gift wrap.

Eh.. I could have done without those stories. Obviously they aren't relative to the books, so it doesn't matter if you've read them or not. It did remind me of all the stuff I'd forgotten about the books and all of the differences between them and the TV show though.

Consisting of 5 short stories that, by the author's own admission, don't really fit the flow of the main story, this volume is a quick weekend read but maybe not worth the effort except to the most extreme Sookie junkies and completist. These stories lack the effortlessness that makes the main series a pleasure to read. In the absence of that, otherwise forgivable shortcomings like the author's rambling and the lack of really good editing become really glaring, even irritating in places. The content of the stories was fine, but superfluous. In the end, they were left out for a reason.

This is more 1.5 stars than two, for what that matters. I've read all ten of the full-length book so far, and my expectations for this collection weren't too high. I suppose that's what happens when you supplement a long series with a few short stories. The collection was short (I read it in about two hours, and I read slowly) and wasn't really enjoyable, and it doesn't really add anything to the Sookie Stackhouse story, to me. That said, I mostly read this out of curiosity, because I knew there was a piece in here about Sookie's cousin, Hadley, and I felt she came up so suddenly in the longer series.

Unless there's some strong compulsion, I wouldn't recommend getting it, but it was pretty difficult for me to track down.

A mixed bag of Sookie stories that fill in a couple of gaps between books. The stories are somewhat uneven, but a quick, fun read.

A very short book full of very short stories. But if you love Sookie Stackhouse, you take what you can get in between Harris new releases in the series. The stories are cute and quirky, just like the books and for the most part very lighthearted. Super quick read, the font is enormous and the book is tiny. Glad I got it out of the library and didn't pay for it, but definitely something any true Sookie Stackhouse fan should read at some point.
