I was expecting more from this book! It started out so strong and I loved the writing style with emails and memos etc however I couldn’t find anything endearing about Bernadette! The longer the book went on the less I liked her, or really anyone for that matter.

It felt like the last third of the book was a completely different book. There were plots that just fizzled (Audrey? Her son? Where did the letter disappear to? The fbi and the Russian mafia? Soo-Lin?) and the author wrapped up the book with a letter from Bernadette to Bee that felt sloppy to me.

There were many times when I did laugh at moments in the book but there were many more upsetting times where I didn’t really want to keep reading

The writing is interesting, and occasionally made me excited because I thought it was leading up to something big that would make the occasional slog worthwhile. But it didn't. I am disappoint.

Listened to the audio book. One of the best. Engrossing. Lyrical and charming writing. It only took me a day. It's been a long time since I've been this into anything.

This book is LAUGH OUT LOUD funny! I read this book on a flight and it took all my energy not to bust my gut. Bernadette has lived in Seattle for just about 20 years and she has some serious opinions about Seattleites. If you've lived in Seattle I think you'll enjoy this book - you'll relate and enjoy the numerous references to Seattle hotspots. And if you're at all interested in knowing what it's like to live in Seattle or what Seattleites are like I think you'll enjoy this book, but don't judge! :) We are our own breed.

Five glorious, whiz-bang, mudslide, Drake Passage, tardive dyskensia stars! I laughed out loud. I cried out loud. I did both in public and didn't care! It really, really, made me want to write a similar book about Birmingham, Alabama, but, unfortunately, we don't have enough private schools that aren't churning out famous people that I could be anonymous. I guess I could make them up, but this felt so real.

Anyway, highly recommended. And when you're done, leave a blank space at the end of your miracles list.
