I wanted to read this book because I have heard a lot of women around me saying that they want to be true to themselves during work. They don't want to be the B*tch that everyone hates but get the work done.

Fran's experience was insightful but nothing new. To me, she is someone who is privileged and got to the best universities and aced her way to corporate life.

However, I love the fact that she was genuinely nice and kind to people around her without being too nice. She talked about her mistakes and how she redeemed herself by being true to herself. Another thing I loved about this book is that with each chapter or experience she highlight task lists or things you can say during a certain situation.

Thank you, Fran, for this book, I've enjoyed it and will recommend it to my friends.

I loved this book, loved it. I think every woman should read it while early career. There’s just some incredible perspective here. I am very grateful for people like Fran in the world.

I really enjoyed this nicely crafted book. I wish I had read it earlier— before my last two career/job changes. The topics are applicable and timely but are presented in a conversational way. It’s easy to digest and with the takeaways at the end of chapter, the information is reinforced.

I'm not a big self help reader but this was recommended by a friend. Some parts where great, about negotiating and mentorship (both finding and being a mentor), but other parts seem to be better suited to people in managerial roles. I think I would have appreciated it more if I was in the corporate world (which I'm not yet).

This audiobook was something that I could not stop listening to! It was a very insightful look into scenarios that are common for women in the workplace and how to address common themes. I found myself nodding and laughing to several anecdotes. Excellent book!

Concise, well laid out, and tactics even if you don’t feel like a nice girl.
