I'm so excited for Glass Sword, I can't stand it. These novellas are awesome!

Action and excitement, but very little back story or explanation. The writing is witty enough that I will continue on to the main series, but really, if these novellas are meant to be read before the full length novels - they do a terrible job of explaining the rules, goals, or obstacles of the world.

Luckily, there are enough interesting plot points and half sketched characters to entice me to continue reading. However, the world building leaves MUCH to be desired here.

Oh, man. I was worried I'd be the only one here saying this one was BORING AF!!!! I expected something completely different from this novella. I don't think I'll ever feel like reading this again.

I really liked this short story, Farley is a strong character.

I really wasn’t a fan of this novella. It seemed like an excuse to info dump a bunch of backstory about the geography and the war. The only redeeming thing about the story was learning more about Shade. The last 20% finally picked up and was mildly interesting, but I spent most of this read pretty bored and not caring in the slightest.

While I was excited to see Farley, I thought the whole command reports were just to build up more pages.

(Stopped at: "As any good cook can tell you, there are always rats in the kitchen." I'm pretty sure it was a metaphor?).

I read this after reading Queen Song, so my expectations were pretty high. The build up was nice but it just felt so bland, like it was missing what made Queen Song so great. And it wasn't very relatable. I think it's one of those prequels that was meant to be read after reading the initial books, so that the politics make sense.
I definitely think that I stopped reading it too soon, so I'll take a break and come back to it later. Until then 2 stars.

Also, the mission reports were so confusing. At first I thought it was because I was reading it digitally, and the formatting was just bad. But then I got another version of it digitally and changed the format, it still make no sense. The mission reports were a nice touch, I just wished they followed through (they were probably trying to make it realistic but... Ehhhhh).

Farley me parece un personaje interesante pero esta historia corta ha sido aburrida. Se conocen nuevos detalles y puntos de vista.
