This book was absolutely stunning. But not in the way they I expected. It wasnt the love story that completely blew me away but the plot of book itself and how well the prophecies and the lore of the Iliad is tied in. Also coming as someone who is familiar with the Homeric poems, it was really eye opening to consider how much the story shifts if the iliad had highlighted their relationship.
Pick this book up for the writing and legend alone

I absolutely loved this book and i’m sad i hadn’t read this sooner! It’s a 6/5 stars from me. The writing style was amazing and it was fast paced yet beautifully detailed and so difficult to put down. I don’t know what to do with my life now that it’s over.

I love going into books with an open mind. Not being told by tons of people how it was the BEST, their favorite, etc. My expectations start to soar and then I’m usually disappointed.
This was a decent book. Maybe just not for me?
I can’t put my finger on why it fell flat for me. I normally like Greek mythology. (I love all of Rick Riordan’s books by the way) I found myself getting bored though to be completely honest. I haven’t read of a single person that didn’t like this book so I’m the exception I’m sure. You may love it. Just not my favorite.
