I'd pet his ferret

Never disappointed w her books like EVER, one of my favorite authors. No disappointment w Bane or Ruby either and their unique living arrangements turned hot steamy and sexy relationship. Pair all of that was franny and tiny it's like the perfect read!

Is it possible to rate it 6 ⭐️?
This books was beyond amazing
I laughed so much during it.. Ruby is my top favorite heroine and Bane? *sigh*
The plot was incredible and the characters were built so well!
I started it and without noticing I was at the end and feeling quite nostalgic
Can't really wait for Hooking up (Amie's story) which I'm sure will be also great..
Honestly it was ny first book by Helena Hunting and I look forward to reading more from her..

Heads up: as I learned by accident, you can read this series in whatever order you want! Helena Hunting does a really good job at introducing and re-introducing characters in a way that you are allowed a mini-review of them and don't feel like you should have remembered some key detail.

'Shacking Up' follows Ruby, an NYU trained dancer, who has the misfortune of catching a flu right before an extremely promising audition. When Ruby doesn't get the role, she has to face facts: she's going to be kicked out of her apartment soon and needs to find SOMETHING to earn money so that she doesn't have to pack up all her stuff and move back in with her parents. Enter Bane, coincidentally leaving on a month-long work trip and in desperate need of a pet-sitter.

I found this book to be a lot more cute than steamy at times, although there's definitely some steamy moments close to the end. I really enjoyed Ruby and Bane's banter because they are both written to be very independent characters who butt heads over some pretty relatable situations. This is a good introduction to Helena Hunting's Shacking Up series, and if you're a fan of their relationship here, I would definitely recommend continuing on to read the novella that takes place after this book...

Oh my goodness what an entertaining story! I really loved all of the characters in this book but I think my fave may have been Franny! I had dreams we owned a ferret named Francesca how crazy that this story worked it's way into my subconscious this way lol. I really enjoy Helena's writing style and can't wait to read more books by her because I have loved them all!

Helen Hunting's Shacking Up is a must read!!! This stand-alone rom-com will have you wanting more! Get ready for a book that you won't want to put down and get cozy with Bancroft and Ruby.

Bancroft is finally back from his rugby career to start working for the family business. While it's not what he wants, he knows that he can't play rugby anymore. Before he goes out of town to look over new hotel projects he has to go to engagement party that is about to change everything for him.

Ruby's best friend is getting married and while she is happy for her she can't help but feel like maybe it's not the right decision. Unfortunately for Ruby she has other problems right now like how is she going to pay rent and hopefully tomorrow she will land a job. What she isn't expecting is a strange man to literally run into her and give her his cold.

When Bancroft finds out that not only did he give Ruby his cold but she lost a job and now has no where to live he tries to figure out how he can help her. He decides that maybe she can help him out and her out by letting her stay in his apartment while he is out of town. He needs a pet sitter and they are not your usual pets.

What happens next is something they both aren't expecting and are the ready for a relationship together? Or are they better off as friends?

I have been in such a reading slump lately, and I just needed something light and fun to get me back into it. This fit the bill.
