It was good to get to know the author and understand what is like to be bipolar which is something I don't know very much of.

I'm a big fan of Ellen Forney and this was an amazing book that did not disappoint. In the tradition of Alison Bechdel and David Small this is a raw and emotional memoir. I have known people with Bi-Polar and have a pretty good idea of what a challenging disease it is, but Forney really illustrates (literally and figuratively) what the battle is like. Beyond her own story she explores at length the correlation between mood-disorders, artists and creativity. Her struggle to come to terms with her illness is raw and open and very real. Highly recommend.

Fantastic graphic explanation of the author's experience with Bipolar. As a therapist this is 100% going on my list of books to recommend to clients.

Read this close to 7ish years ago and thought it was really good. Picked it up this afternoon and zoomed through it. It definitely remains as good as I remember it being. Great storytelling and incredible art!
