thank you to netgalley and w by wattpad books for an e-arc of this book.

i loved this book in the first half, i honestly was reading this for i think 4 hours straight before i had to put it down and go to bed.

the main character, candra was honestly so relatable and i loved her unserious attitude. this book was also the epitome of forced proximity. candra and nemeth are literally locked in a tower with nothing else to do except get together and i ate up every single second of it.

the second half of the book is where i started to loose a little interest. honestly, the second half of this book was almost like another book itself. it was still enjoyable but i just found myself not as invested as i was in the first half. when candra and nemeth faced the outside world together i felt like they lost the spark of their relationship that i loved. also, there was so much added to the plot in the second half of the book it was almost too much to explore just in this book.

i would still recommend this book to anyone who enjoys ruby’s writing or someone who’s looking for a stand alone fantasy romance.

i need to preface this by saying i have never read jane eyre so everything in this book was new to me.

i really don’t know how to feel about this one. when i started reading it, i thought for sure it would be one of my favorites but then i got to the plot twist and wanted to chuck it across the room. of course i didn’t do that because i am very delicate with my books.

anyway, not only did the plot twist make me violently ill but the ending was so abrupt and quite frankly, everything just worked out for the male main character.

i am really perplexed after reading this book and maybe that was the point.

so, maybe you should try reading jane eyre before this and don’t go in blind like i did, you’ll probably have a better experience.

thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an e-arc of this book.

DNF at 6%.

i was unable to get through chapter 1 without skimming. why you ask? the enormous amount of information dumping in the first chapter. if i can barely get through chapter one, there is no way i’m making it through the rest of the book.

this series just gets better and better.

i love how lyx is taking the time in forming these different relationships between tamsin and ivar and olaf while still not forgetting about tamsin and thrain’s relationship.

i thought this book was a great balance between moving the plot forward while also growing the character relationships.

i cannot wait for the next book in this series and what lyx plans to do in the future.

wow, so the heat was definitely turned up in this one.

the first book had a few small spicy scenes but this one, had waaay more. i’m gonna but honest, i was not prepared but i also was not mad about it.

this book really focused on the character growth, not only from tamsin and thrain but also olaf and ivar. there is a really significant turning point in this one which i really appreciated.

i really liked learning more about the magic system or really omegaverse system in this universe. and honestly, i just love that these men treat tamsin like a literal god. there was once scene in this book that tamsin was so powerful in and i loved it.

all that being said i do wish there was just a little more plot development in this one. i had no idea that all of this happened because over the course of a couple days.

i’m really excited to see how everything unravels in the next book.

this was so good.

i honestly thought this was going to be omegaverse with a side of plot but it was actually plot with a side of omegaverse.

i loved the dual pov and cannot wait to read more about these characters.

thank you so much to forever for an arc of this book!

in case there was any confusion (there was no confusion) about whether or not julie soto was an auto buy author for me, this book cleared that up, real quick.

i’m going to be honest with you, the cover of this book accurately describes it and if you are here for some people who get horny about music, you are in the right place.

all jokes aside, this book was a delight. our female main character, gwen and our male main character, alex have some really phenomenal character growth in this book, both together and separately. this book really describes just how easy it is to be taken advantage of.

after finding out that julie came up with this story after attending a concert, i am simply blown away by her imagination and creativity.

if you are a julie soto fan or music and romance fan, you do not want to miss this one.

did you know golf could be hot? yeah, me neither.

i have not been this obsessed with a tessa bailey book since “it happened one summer”. this was perfect.

this book had me giggling from the first chapter and i loved both of the main characters. the fact that this book was dedicated to tessa’s daughter who also had type 1 diabetes like our fmc, josie just made this so heartfelt.

the plot, the characters, and the spice was all on point and i cannot wait for book two after the sneak peak of the next couple in the last couple of chapters in this one.

if you disagree with me you can talk to well’s perfect peach.
