The series keeps getting better for me. In each book there has been different aspects of their world and with that it seems that Kaylee continues to grow. I wasn't honestly her biggest fan in the beginning but I am learning to like her.

I've noticed in other peoples reviews that the majority are not fans of some of the things that took place in this book. I feel like it was welcomed. It doesn't diminish the respect I have had for any of the characters but only makes it stronger. No one is perfect, and it's great to see that finally realized. Every relationship needs some turmoil. Granted, maybe not quite like that, but I think it will eventually help them on their proper paths.

Tod. That's all I need to say. I never expected that an after thought of a brother/reaper (according to Nash, not in so many words) would have crept his way to being more and more involved with in the series and finding his way into my heart. I missed his presence in parts of the book but the ending more than makes up for it. I think I may like Tod to be my knight in shining armor. Screw Nash, lol.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next book, where I am sure the turmoil will continue. Maybe I'm morbid for actually looking forward to that but I think it's just what these characters needed and I'm hoping to see them grow even more, in ways that I hopefully like ;).

This is really, really hard! I wonder if Kaylee will ever be able to forgive Nash, I'm really not sure if I could if I was her. *tear*

Now that I've finished the whole book, I feel thouroughly empty, and so sad for Kaylee, and a little bit sad for Nash. He really screwed up big time, and I really don't see what he can do so that Kaylee can trust hi again and maybe love him again, I just want to curl up in a ball and cry!

Kaylee never lost it, though, she's one tough cookie, and she knows what needs to get done, then she just does it - once she's made up her mind to help someone, she gives it her all, and even when she's really scared, she is still able to do what has to be done.

Sohpie is pissing me off! I am so happy Tod actually knocked her out, she totally deserved that :D

I hope Kaylee will be able to talk everything through with her dad and Harmony, and that they will both help her heal. And of course, I hope that Harmony will be able to help Nash get clean, I couldn't stand it if he didn't.

First Half: 2 Stars
Second Half: 4 Stars.

I really like how Vincent is making things go on, it's unpredictable and not boring. I enjoy the mix of "mystery of the book" and the whole Kaylee's mystery. But I can't stand Nash, I find each and every line that he says utterly boring, useless and unnerving. Get a fricking grip, bro.

I'll write a full review because now I don't have the time for writing here, I'm cold and I've lost my sweatshirt, yes, seriously. How can it be so cold in April? aaarg.

I was a little disappointed with My Soul to Keep at first, especially as I had gone out and bought it with my hard-earned money! But when I came to think about it afterwards, it kind of grew on me. Anyway, you have to read this book in order to read the next book in the series which was much better.

From my review: "A month after she was grounded following the events in My Soul To Save, Kaylee is hoping to resume a normal teenage life. She might just have to wait a little bit longer for that because someone is getting teenagers hooked on Demon's Breath, the most addictive substance in the Netherworld. Demon’s Breath is exactly what it says on the tin, the breath of demons and it is craved by creatures of the Netherworld. As Nash’s friends succumb to addiction, madness and death, Kaylee realises that it can have catastrophic and fatal consequences to human users. "

What a horrible ending! Gah. Wonderful book. I don't really have much I can say without adding spoilers. But I do have somethings I can say:

There is some major character improvement.
Although Kaylee's save-everybody attitude is really kind, it's kind of pissing me off. She goes around saving everybody and putting everybody's lives at risk. And since it's only been three months since the first book took place she's had some serious events happened.
Nash is an arsshole.
You gotta love Tod.
When does the next book, My Soul To Steal, come out!!!!!

A relatable topic with strong character revelations and character cooperation. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book to see how it all pans out.

Well, this book was full of surprises, which is good, giving that if you know what is going to happen, a book becomes boring and it's not worth reading anymore.
Like I said before, I didn't quite know what to think about Nash. He seemed to be a player with some hidden agenda and I wasn't enjoying what I saw. --'
But in My Soul To Keep he is a huge asshole! --'
OMG! The things he did to poor Kaylee! :S
If I was her, I would never in my life talk to him again! In fact, I would beat the crap out of him because he had absolutely no right to do what he did! --'
No matter how hard you want something, if that depends on another person and it is her decision to give it to you or not, you have to respect that person and her decision! You can't force things!
But whatever, this only made me more sure that Nash doesn't deserve Kaylee.
Tod, well, here is a decent guy! :) He would never in his life do what his brother did. I am looking forward to know even more about him. :)
I only hope that Kaylee sees the light and turns her back on Nash, the idiot, seeing the good in Tod. :)
What more? Huum, it was really interesting the whole situation about the demon's breath and the students shooting that like common drugs. They were really dumb! :S
I was happy to see Addison once again, though it was really a bittersweet moment because we know that she is dead and suffering horribly. :(
*Sigh* Looking forward to know what happens next...

This novel left me SO EAGER TO READ MY SOUL TO STEAL! In this third installment to the Soul Screamer series, the troubles for Kaylee are far from over. Bad guys that we met in My Soul to Savemake a reappearance, and we're dealing with Demon's Breath in a completely different way. Instead of being a replacement for a soul, Demon's Breath is now a highly addictive inhalant drug that's being spread around Kaylee and Nash's friends. How is it getting to the human world? And why is Nash acting so weird about it? They have to do something to stop it, and quickly, before it kills someone.

Rachel Vincent definitely knows how to write an addictive book. I was turning the pages on this one non-stop, wanting to know what happened. Kaylee is going through a lot of stuff in this book. Every time she falls asleep, she has a terrible nightmare where someone dies and she wakes up screaming. Because of the screaming, when she wakes up she's in the Netherworld. Her best friend, Emma, is dating a guy who is seriously addicted to the demon's breath, and Kaylee is worried it might somehow affect Emma too. Nash starts acting odd, lying to her and using his Influence on her when she doesn't want him to. But Kaylee isn't a helpless damsel in distress. She steps up to the plate and basically saves everyone (again), this time without the help of Nash. I really like Kaylee as a protagonist, because she does what she needs to do, no matter what that is.

I used to be firmly Team Nash. I thought he was a really great guy, even if his relationship with Kaylee was a bit rushed in the beginning. But, this novel just completely converted me to Team Tod. Even if Tod isn't a viable contender at the moment, I'm still on his team, because Nash ruined it. That's all I'm going to say about that. I do have hope, though, that Nash will make a comeback in the later novels and get back to the good place that he was eat in My Soul to Take.

Also, one thing I noticed about Kaylee and Nash together. They're always doing one of two things: a) making out or b) talking about everyone else's problems and how they're going to fix it. They never spend time just to themselves to enjoy each other's company. They never talk about themselves with each other! Every single conversation they have is either about how Nash wants to have sex and Kaylee isn't ready, or how they need to save the world. Honestly, I think that's their biggest flaw as a couple. They may love each other, but they just don't act like a couple all the time. It's kinda frustrating.

But, all that aside, this book is just as action packed and get-your-adrenaline-pumping as the first two, which was great. Rachel Vincent writes with a fast and no-lag pace, pushing the story like The Little Engine That Could. Whatever you may feel while you read Rachel Vincent's novels, bored is not one of them.

Since My Soul to Save, Tod has been continuously evolving and growing as a character, which I love. He is, in my opinion, the best character in the series. He's still a bit of a mystery, but in this novel, we see more of his softer side, of his love for Addison, his ex-girlfriend that sold her soul to a demon for fame and talent in My Soul to Save. He's still sarcastic and cocky, but his heart is in the right place. I'm very much looking forward to his character being expanded in the future novels.

I love this series, and I'm going to keep reading it, I'm just very, very frustrated with where it's going in regards to Kaylee and Nash. I am happy that Kaylee made the right decision in the end of the book. She ignored what her emotions were telling her and thought rationally. She did what was best for her. I'm very intrigued as to what will happen in the future. I give this novel 4 out of 5 stars.

This series gets better and better as it goes along! This installment was so gripping and seriously I think related to the real world and what teens are dealing with. As for Nash, I really don't hate him... I think everyone deserves to be forgiven and deserves a second chance. I do however feel really bad for Kaylee throughout this book. The poor girl can't win. On the other hand, TOD. YOU MY BOY!! :) On to the next one... :)
