I am not a fan of her writing but I can hear her voice when reading.

It took me a whole year to finish this book because it was very difficult to digest what Britney had gone through. Let alone she went through for 13 years - which she wrote in great detail in her book. I have been a fan of Britney since 2008 and I didn’t know she went through this much until I become an adult and have access to all these information.

I could see her getting even bigger and bigger if she wasn’t locked into conservatorship at her peak. It did not make sense how her father was able to put her into conservatorship with her obvious achievements. I am sure if this happens today, people will openly talk about mental health and how to heal and Britney will be able to get so much help now.

Based on how she describes in her book, it also made so much sense why her recent performance looked so stiff and her dance movement was not lively like her early 2000s ones. I don’t know this woman, but I love her music. I am just so happy someone so sweet and so smart like Britney are finally free and able to live her life.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Britney for being brave enough to share your heartbreaking story. You are an inspiration to persevere and have hope through all you've been through. I wish you a life of so much love, kindness, and joy, you deserve it <3 <3

I really wanted to enjoy this book, I completely support the #freebritney movement and I’m so glad she is back in control of her life. But the book was written like she was chatting with a friend - the writing was disjointed, contradictory and jumped around. I almost put it down multiple times but plowed through. There was a very small amount of insight to her life but mostly it showcased a person who was never allowed to be a child and thusly never really grew up. It made me pity her and I don’t believe that was its purpose.

If this book does nothing else but shed light into the dark corners of conservatorship and how women are trapped inside them, it is a service.

side note: the story could have done with more editing for repetition, especially in the later portions. It was excellently narrated. I wish Britney Spears continued productive therapy <3

The ghost writer and editor for this book have failed Britney. This should have, and could have been a good book, but the writing was atrocious. Equally atrocious are her parents and how they treated her.

"I wanted to hide, but I also wanted to be seen. Both things could be true."

The first few chapters were kind of all over the place but this was a very raw and emotional read. Good for you Britney to fight for what you deserved.

First and foremost, fuck her entire family. Secondly, fuck you, Justin Timberlake.

While I would have loved this to be a really juicy spill on all the minor and horrific details, read by Britney herself, I thought it was respectfully done and Michelle Williams did a fantastic job narrating. Call me a fan, I don’t care, I have followed Britney for what feels like most of my life. The absolute shit show that this book doesn’t even begin to touch on that she has been through is devastating to even imagine. To be so brave and strong in telling even a mild version of the story, BRAVO my girl, BRAH-VOE!

It was interesting to read about Britney Spears' life but the writing in this book was choppy and it didn't seem to flow in many parts. I wish her the best as she embarks on the new chapter of her life.

Britney isn’t a novelist, so don’t expect The Next Best Thing. But man, she was honest. Did she gloss over things? Definitely. But she doesn’t owe us shit and people who accuse her of holding back don’t even realize the irony of their entitlement.

Of course I’ve been a Britney fan since I was old enough to start having my own opinion in music. I’ve been dying for this book, to be able to learn from her perspective why things happened the way they did. And you know what she gave me? A COMPLETELY NEW WAY OF THINKING!

This is a woman who has found her voice, after dealing with being stomped down in the mud left and right for so long. I was inspired by Britney’s words, her new found love for life now that she is free.

I’m also completely disgusted with her family, her friends, her SO’s, her team… literally everyone who sat there and told her what these people put her through was good for her! How do you not expect someone to have a mental breakdown over not knowing whether or not they’d be able to see their children the next day? Or maybe just go to the fucking grocery store without having someone in her face?

I understand you so much more now, Britney. I know you will never see this or know… but I am so proud of you for doing this for yourself. And now an even bigger fan of you as a woman than I ever was of you as an artist. You are a role model and I hope you continue on this path of badassery <3
