Spoiler
Nahhhh this book was not what it was trying to be. I really wanted a good corrupting the FMC storyline but this was just sad.

First of all, this girl had been trained to go undercover but is not smooth at all. She was clocked as an agent the first time she stepped foot into their club, and those watching her knew her target immediately. And speaking of that--how is it that we're expected to believe the FBI can't accurately fake the fake IDs they give their undercover operatives? That was the entire basis for them looking further into this woman and it was contrived.

Also why do they care about this random woman? Sure they're infatuated with her looks, but they're also hellbent on catching the guy who just landed in their laps for a years-long revenge plan, but supposedly they put that on pause to look into and later kidnap a random woman because her ID is fake. They have no idea what she wants except that she's interested in their target (something they interfered with and they've been pursuing her since, not the other way around), and instead of observing her for more information they decide to kidnap a federal agent to torture her because she might be onto them??? When did she give any indication she was after them? They weren't even on her radar until they kept putting themselves in front of her.

Ok and our introduction to these guys was their torture and killing of a guy because he was a rapist, and we also find out that they're doing all of their killing because they're on a warpath to find the man to beat and raped and then murdered the sister of one of the MMCs.

And that same brother of the murdered girl, after kidnapping the FMC, but before he even knows that she's turned on by the torture, thinks to himself,

"It might be nice to fuck her right before we kill her, though. I could come deep inside her sweet pussy as I slit her throat."

...he then continues to toe this line between wanting to fck her and then kill her (which is rape btw) or just torture her, including repeating this sentiment a few times. He's also the MMC responsible for the dub-con warning because while the reader sees that the FMC is actually into it when he forces himself on her, HE doesn't know that, and he ends it with, “Good girl. Don’t ever tell me no again.”

I'm not opposed to finding dub-con in a book, and that isn't my issue. My issue is that I get that these guys are supposed to be morally grey characters, but you cannot have them out here ending lives for actions they themselves consider performing and still expect me to fall for the character eventually.

“We are not like them. They hurt and kill innocent people with no repercussions. We may get away with our crimes, but they aren’t even close to being innocent, they’re the scum of the earth. They deserve what we do to them.”

Allllll of this when they spent the majority of the book brutalizing, nearly drowning, shooting, and utterly destroying an innocent woman who gave them no indication she was after them, instead of focusing on their real target who was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, because for some reason they were infatuated with her.

And after they've falling in love with her instantly (literally at first sight for one of the MMCs), she's immediately forgiving all of the ways they tortured her and tried to kill her because they've unlocked her inner bad girl or something. Please. There wasn't near enough character development for everything this book tried to be.

This was my first read from Denver Rose and I loved every second of it. If you like dark reserve harem romance, and I mean dark, with mystery/suspense, then this book is for you! Make sure to check the trigger warnings!!

FBI agent Zamira goes undercover and becomes entwined with Theon, Ace and Blais, who aren’t what they seem. Zamira is a bada$$ and one of the strongest FMC I’ve ever read. She doesn’t back down or give in, AT ALL. And those

Dark and Wild Ride

Let’s start this out by saying it took me days to finish this. This book was thick! I had a whole lot of emotions while reading this book. I cried. I laughed. I raged. I wanted to go through that book and knock some sense into a certain someone.

I LOVED Zamira so much. I love that she fought hard and fought well. She fought through so much mental, emotional, and psychical pain. She came out on top at the end of the day. She was a savage. There’s nothing I love more than a strong and mouthy female lead. Which is exactly what Zamira was.

Where do I even begin with these three? I loved Blais almost immediately. I loved the banter. I love the attraction. I loved that even though he was part of the three, he was also on Zamiras' side. Theon fought with his demons and then fought his feelings. I was so happy when he finally gave in. Ace on the other hand wasn’t ready for these hands. This man-made me so angry. I went through this book thinking he could never be forgiven if it was me. By the end of the book, I understand why Ace is the way he is, and I loved the last chain scene. You’ll know what I’m talking about.

By the end of the book, I loved the story, I loved the characters, and I’m so happy that I read it. I loved the banter, the tension, and the talk. I loved the pacing of this book. Granted it was long. I loved that it wasn’t rushed or jumping around. I loved the twist and turns and the darkness to it. I recommend giving this book a chance!

Another “good girl” Love It!

This was everything that I enjoy in dark romance…gritty, raw, spicy with a side of kinky pleasure. Agent Stone (FMC) thought she was ready to handle the undercover assignment, but she finds out she never had all the facts. This story take some serious twist and turns and keeps you guessing till the end. The MMC’s Ace, Blais, & Theon are all kinds of hot and twisted in the best ways. Definitely TW/18+ 4.5/stars.

Wow!

This is the best book I’ve read all year. Zamira is a bada$$ who goes undercover unknowingly that all the odds are stacked against her from the start. I love Blais , Ace and Theon in that order because I love me some psychos

I wanted to like this book, but I had trouble with many aspects that made the story hard to swallow (no pun intended), and I'm not talking about the kinks. If you want a book for the spice, you'll have no issue with this one. Though I read someone compare it to another book, I can't say I see that strong of a resemblance---
Spoilerthat book being Den of Vipers, which I get it, there's a MMC with a thing for knife play, another MMC who's the "big guy." Still, aside from the characteristics of those characters, I wouldn't do DoV the disservice of the comparison. These characters act like boys most of the time, throwing tantrums.

I also had a hard time with the FMC.
SpoilerAn FBI agent going undercover and asking very obvious questions that sound more like an interview than a subtle conversation to gain information...and even she admitted she was fucking up...but kept doing it. Hmm, yeah, how did you ever make it through Quantico?
The FMC made the story unrealistic at best and annoying at worst. So again, the book has some solid strengths for the spice, but the characters and repetition of certain story aspects (through different POVs) didn't do it for me.

Some important notes that bear mentioning: first, reviews are highly subjective, including mine. My opinion is meant to give an overview of what I saw/felt when I read it. What I see might not be what you see, and what I don't like might be what you enjoy, which is just fine. My advice to anyone looking into a book? Read the premise, and if it interests you enough, give it a chance and form your own opinion.

Writing: 5/5
Spice: 5/5
Dark, bloody, violent, gory, enemies-to-lovers romance at its absolute finest. Any other book you've read in this category will fail to measure up after you've finished Blood of the Saints. I've never read S&M done like this and woah, was it hot. Please check those trigger warnings, but jump in knowing it was written thoughtfully and thoroughly. The storyline was captivating, with an FBI agent for an FMC who will take nothing laying down, and three MMCs who allow their demons to run wild.

This book was way too long and for nothing. It was very much Den of Vipers but somehow worse.
