This book got a lot better the more I read - I found it harder to get into than other books of a similar genre.

As someone who lives next to a neighbour from hell I could definitely empathise with Suzie and how difficult it must have been living below someone so noisy. But I could also understand her want to help. Whenever my neighbour is quiet it sets off alarm bells for me - are they ok? Has something happened? Why are they so quiet? I think I carried on reading because I could relate a bit to what it’s like

I really enjoyed this one.
It reflects on mental health so well, such as PTSD, OCD, anxiety and grief/loss.

Suzie is such a great character in my eyes.
So human and so understandable.

The writing was really easy to get through and I didn't find it was slow at all.
I powered through this read and it actually pulled me out of a horrible reading slump.

I was also NOT expecting that ending.
Very well written!

This book suprised me and I wasn't expecting it at all. I expected a 3 star semi generic thriller (sorry Georgina) but I was wrong. I loved Suzie. I felt for her, her grief, I felt it and my heart ached.
Emily. Oh Emily. I related far too much to her, it was painful but brilliant.

My only real gripes were the convience of another character relating to Suzie seemed a little contrived and unnecessary, and there being a few lose ends that hadn't been tied up by the final page. Nothing major but enough that I don't feel entirely satisfied.

This one was enjoyable; it was what I call a slow-burn thriller. It's definitely got the edge to be psychological and leaves you wondering what will happen but not in a way you feel panicked or on the edge. We also get a healthy look into how depression works and can fundamentally change pieces of you.

You see people every day, some you know and some you don't. Those who live next to you, how well do you actually know them?

I found it to be written with good details left behind like breadcrumbs. You can tell you are heading toward the answer but it's not spelled out quite yet. I like books like this because it forces your mind to slow down and enjoy the journey of the characters.

My only hang up was the end and the twist; it was a good shock factor but I like to have some solid reasoning behind some actions; senseless motivation isn't something that sits well.

Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins UK; One More Chapter for allowing me to review the ARC.
