I felt compelled to read this book after my iPhone update began sending me weekly screen time summaries. I have a fear that my generation will grow old and realize they spent the prime years of their life watching Netflix and scrolling on social media, and the data my phone was collecting on my own usage validated my hunch. I didn't follow the 30 day plan outlined in this book, but it did cause me to think more consciously about how I use my phone. Nothing wholly transformative but lots of helpful hints about breaking phone addiction.

I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy and fast read, getting right to the heart of how cell phones can negatively affect us and what exactly to do to try to break the cycle. I highly recommend it to anyone--even if you think you don't have a problem--to read this book. At the very least, you can hurl the research at your friends and family who do have a phone problem.

This should be required reading. I strongly believe 90+% of people are wasting their lives glued to their phones (myself included...). I ironically listened to the audiobook of this, on my phone (while driving). I think the author gives some really useful tips for how to break smartphone addiction. I would recommend doing the physical or ebook version of this over the audiobook so you can get more out of the workbook part at the end.
