Yummy. These characters draw you in and keep you in throughout the book. The characters have depth that keep you entertained and drawn into the story line. I look forward to the next book in this series.

The first one was infinitely better.

I really enjoyed this one. While it was a bit frustrating at the beginning while Amery struggled with trust issues. There were so many great fist pumping moments in this book.

I love the bickering between Shiori and Knox, so I'm really looking forward to their book.

Molly & Deacon ... wowza! I really hope their the 4th book in this series.

In comparison to the first book in this series, I could seriously be tempted to rate this book higher. I enjoyed this one so much more than the first. It probably helped that I was distracted by an overuse if ellipses.

In general j liked the evolution of the characters in this one. I loved the addition of Shiori as well. And I would even like it if she and Knox got their own spin off. The first half worked for me. It laid the groundwork for Amery and Ronin's repairing relationship. And we got to see Ronin giving more and more of himself while Amery learned to hold back a not more in efforts of guarding herself and rebuilding trust.

Unfortunately, the second half was a bit of a let down. Too any things side stories felt incomplete or superfluous to the main story. Then there's the very anticlimatic ending. The foundation was laid for what could have been a very intriguing ending. Unfortunately it ended up fizzling out. [From Naomi's appearance, to Amery's parents, and Ronin's mom, it all just kind of finished and didn't really have the bang it could have. Even Chaz's roll was completely necessary when his character was one that could have added to the story IMO. Same argument could be made for Molly].

As a whole though, I enjoyed it. While I am glad this is supposed to be the last book for Amery and Ronin, I would definitely pick up a spinoff about Shiori and hopefully Knox.

I don't understand the high 4.5 average rating on this. It was a struggle for me to get through, and the only reason I followed up on it after the first one was to see if the relationship got progressively more controlling/worse like in 50 shades and Twilight.

The answer is yes, very much so. You get to see inside his head, and he's completely possessive and only thinks of her. It's not "sweet", it's creepy as shit. This is the type of book I'd give my daughters to read and discuss after about healthy versus not healthy relationships. The poor female lead has *no* healthy relationships, and she acknowledges that multiple times in the book.

Lets start off with this is 3.5 stars...not 4 stars lol.
If you read my review of Bound...well this book doesn't get any better. I had to pause and start reading it again well because Amery and Ronin's relationship, noted it was better than the first book, still was way too quick for me.
There are erotic novels with just sex, and then there are erotic novels that actually have a story to tell. Granted Ronin and Amery both have their back stories, nothing really moved the story plot along in this novel. I enjoyed their hookups, I enjoyed how Amery stood up to Shiori (a waste of space), and I enjoyed the side characters. But there was still nothing there for me to enjoy and fully invest myself into their actual relationship. It's just a rope master and a girl who really likes to have sex with her hot studded man. They learn about each other, like all relationships, and they have their share of arguments. Shiori and Knox's story had me more interested than these two.
Also for the main guy to be Japanese, I wish there were more cultural elements in the story, other than rope mastery and martial arts. There is so much about Japan that could have been incorporated into this novel that was not taken advantage of.
It's a good read for something quick but not if you're looking for originality and something deep.
Granted, I read this series out of order and the third book gave me high hopes...so yeah a bit disappointed.
Sorry, I'm reviewing from memory so its a bit everywhere.

Not as good as the first one, but still really good. I enjoy this series so far and am looking forward to the next book (though, admittedly I feel sort of done with Amery and Ronin's story, so I might avoid the Amery & Ronin novella). I liked that Ronin's perspective played a role in this book; it made the story more well rounded in my opinion. That being said, I felt like this book was a bit dragged out. I just didn't need all of the details and I didn't really find them to be a good thing. But, overall I liked the book and I enjoy all of the characters from this series. I can't wait for Unraveled!
