So this comic (and this volume in particular) is freaking amazeballs, and deserves a full review...but life.

Rest assured, it's clever, amazing a breath of fresh air. Just read all of em.

Ms. Marvel's saga continues as she tackles the Inventor, learning more about her powers, the role of a hero and even her own origin in the meantime. The story and art remain top notch, with special mention to the character development, as Kamala faces the expected problems with being a teen and a hero in a very weird world (I'll always love writers that consider how incredibly weird it is to live in the Marvel universe), and to Adrian Alphona's art.
Because, you know, Jacob Wyatt is really good and his sewer climbing splash page's a thing of beauty and awe, but damn Alphona makes his pages come alive. His style and the gorgeous sound effects he draws made everything feel more heroic.
And now I want the next trade.

This comic was a quick and fun read. Both the pace of the plot and the ending was okay but I like the characters to be fleshed out bit more.

Like the previous comics, I really enjoyed this one. I love Ms. Marvel's Universe. I wish I had powers too. It's easy to project ourselves into a different world when we read these comics. I can't wait to buy the next book.

This series was great from the outset, but this is when it really comes into its own. The two issue Wolverine guestspot is hilarious and adorable, complimented perfectly by Wyatt's simple and cute art. And the villain is a freaking bird man. Amazing. Also, the whole diatribe about not writing off millennials and gen-xers is a bit preachy, but totally on point.

If I had to find fault with this collection it'd be that although Lockjaw is super cute it can get annoying how he's basically her get out of jail free card. And while Alphona's art is beautiful, sometimes the action scenes are super hard to follow.

Kamala is one of the best superheroes. Love this series!

Comical and beautifully written, Vol. 2 stumbles slightly because of a loose narrative on the philosophical notion of being, feeling purpose through living and excelling, despite what you become ends up not as glamorous as expected. Kamala is still as hilarious, and a solid follow-up! Now time for Vol. 3

To me, comics are kind of like Netflix or junk food for the brain, just a break. But how wonderful to get a break with a super hero I can finally identify with, a young woman of color, who practices Islam, who totally kicks butt. I feel grateful this comic series exists and can't wait to pick the third one up from the library tomorrow.

I especially encourage this series for any young woman who has ever felt at odds or out of place in her life. Who knows? Maybe we'll get a movie someday too.
