I'm only giving it 2 stars because I enjoyed like the first 300 pages. Then the last 100 pages COMPLETLY blew up the entire series. In the worst way. Luce's bombshell that completely destroys the 3 book lead up.

I didn't get the Fallen series at all. Sure, the author's play of words had me browsing the dictionary every other page, but the plot is just so confusing. At the end of the first book, I had so many unanswered questions and issues. At the end of the series, I felt that nothing was unraveled. It was too anticlimactic. The main characters are just as inconsistent as the storyline, and they possessed no redeeming qualities for them to deserve the kind of love described in the book. The only thing I gained here is a wider vocabulary.

What struck me most is the fact that love never dies...

#SPOILER ALERT#

At the end, when Daniel and Luce are mortals, what made me laugh and cry at the same time is when Daniel says he thinks he already saw Luce somewhere. Which refers to "Fallen" the first of these books when Luce tells Daniel the thinks she already saw him somewhere

This was, in my opinion, the best book in the series. Things actually happened and eventhough some things were obvious, there were still some surprises. Luce was less annoying than in the previous books and I really liked the storyline. Never thought I'd say this but I actually even felt bad for Lucifer lmao. The ending made me happy and sad at the same time, and I was debating whether I should give it 4 stars but decided against it because it bothers me that
1.) There was way too little of Cam. I know there is an entire book dedicated to his story but I would've loved to see him interact more with Luce and Daniel;
And 2.) What did they even tell Luce's parents when she never returned home from Sword & Cross? lol
Overall it was a very nice book, even if it had some flaws. It gave the series a very good ending and eventhough I didn't even like the series as a whole all that much, it made me feel a little nostalgic.

It was SO CRAZY! I loved the ending and was impressed with the massive twist in the plot. Can't wait to do a rant/review on this!

Number one: there are more than 432 pages in this book. Somebody counted wrong.

Number two: I am generously rating this book a three. There are so many things about this book that drive me insane. First of all, seriously?! This entire ordeal happened because Luce betrayed Lucifer in heaven. Again, seriously?! How do you go from "heaven is wonderful, heaven is the best, the Throne is the Almighty, blah blah blah..." to "Hey I'm Lucifer and I'm just going to fuck shit up because I want to and because the other angel who I thought loved me really doesn't, but I don't want to listen to her..."

Just.................no. On so many levels.
Number Three: The pace of this book about drove me insane. This is the FINAL book here Lauren, you don't think you could have made their pace a little bit more urgent. There were times when I was reading this and I had to put it down and leave it alone because these characters were moving like they had all the time in the fucking free world, when they really only had less than nine days to stop the whole of existence from being wiped out by Lucifer.

Number Four: I saw the word "were" placed improperly so many times, that I just wanted to take a red pen and mark up my own copy of Rapture so I wouldn't go crazy every-time I saw it. And, it was always where the word "was" was supposed to be, too.

Last of all, you really needed to explain more about Cam at the end there, Lauren Kate. Just them having a silent moment there when Cam was mentioned doesn't answer anything, actually.

Frustration run rampant, I tell you. >:(

My only hope is that her next book "Teardrop" is really good. I, also, hope that "Fallen in Love" is swell too; I haven't read it yet and I'm just goosing that's not fucked up too.

This is again a series that starts out great and then gradually gets worse.

What do I say about this? It drove me crazy most of the time for multiple reasons. I found myself skipping over paragraphs and literally going "blah blah blah". That's probably just me though. I also found myself annoyed and hungry for answers the entire time. Luckily the answers did finally come in this book and left little questions by the end.

I missed Cam dearly in this book and would totally be up for reading a spinoff about him. I seriously could have used his prescense just a little more; okay, a lot more. Anyway, I felt the way it ended was satisfactory for me. I would have preferred things to have been able to stay the same with Daniel and Luce instead of what actually happened. When I say stay the same, I don't mean with the curse and all. I dont want to say exactly what i want because then this would contain spoilers but i did cry my eyes out towards the end.

I wasn't surprised at all by the revelation pertaining to the curse, the begining of their relationship, and why Luce was a big part of it. I called it during the first book; but it was like a huge revelation when Luce finally discovered for herself.

I found some things mediocre and boring through this series and it sometimes was enough to make me gag with all the sweetness and love between Luce and Daniel but overall the story came together and at least there was a happy ending.

I still ache for Cam though.
