Really interesting look at the details of human decision-making, from the standpoint of psychology and behavioral economics.

Alls well that ends well. Very well-written, very interesting (at most times) book. I skipped through a chapter or two at the end when he went on about probabilities. I'll go back and reread those if I feel like it.

Was a bit of a slog but I can appreciate how all the claims were backed up. The numerous examples of questions that I as the reader can answer myself to prove his points was good.

lots to think about!! be warned this book is really dense with the info tho, it took me four months to read.. but once you make it through there’s a whole wealth of info and new perspectives to be gained. definitely one to reread and brush up on in the future!

Wow... where to start... there is so much happening in this exploration of human decision-making that it seems a miracle to have finally reached the end. There is no doubt of Kahneman’s brilliance and expertise, but that comes at the cost of readability. This book demands your attention and patience, and is an extremely slow burn to place of greater understanding and insight into our behavior each and every day. I found myself increasingly more aware of the choices I make each day as I progressed through the book, but I’m still left wondering “so what?” in a practical sense. I look forward to reading Nudge and/or The Undoing Project in the near future to help put this topic into clearer context, but right now I feel like I just need a break after working through this book.

Very insightful book, but it is a bit of a slog to get through. Requires all your attention to understand.
