I've read this series out of order (started with 3 and 4). I liked Lick a lot better than Deep (honestly, I really disliked Ben).

Lick and Lead were both written in ways that made me believe that the leads did fall in love. Also, I did not hate either of the heroes like I started to when I read Deep.

5 Second look at Lick by Kylie Scott
A Quick Summary
-Evelyn wakes up married to a guy she can’t remember. Oh, and he’s a rock star.
-They decided to try and get to know each other before they divorce. They go off together. She inspires him and their connection grows, until she finds out about his ex (who is his manager)
-Hurt and heartbroken from his betrayal, she leaves him.

My Take on the Book :
If your looking for romance, steam, humor, and angst in a neatly wrapped and easy to read package, Lick is for you.

Let's Talk About the Girl...
Evelyn has her life mapped out. Getting married to a rockstar she just met on her 21st birthday is not part of that plan. Evelyn doesn’t remember anything. Evelyn wakes up one morning with a killer hangover and painfully fuzzy memories, in bed with a gorgeous, heavily inked man she doesn’t remember with his name tattooed on her body and a giant sparkling diamond on her finger. Needless to say, this happened in Vegas.

Ev was a refreshingly down-to-earth, non-ditzy, understanding heroine.

Let's Talk About the Guy...
“Love isn’t always smooth or straightforward. It can be messy and painful,” he said. “Doesn’t mean it still isn’t the most incredible thing that can ever happen to you.”
David Ferris may be a rockstar, but he knows a good thing when he see it. I felt for David from the beginning. He remembers everything from last night and the reasons why he liked Ev. Wow He’s sweet, sensitive and attentive to Evelyn. But he’s been hurt before. He still isn’t over his past relationship. Although he was a jerk at times, through the craziness of their relationship he was protective and always putting Evelyn’s needs first.

Let's Talk about the Story...
Ev has turned twenty-one and her friend, Lauren, has decided it’s time for her to let her hair down and forget about her “plan” for a few days.

That’s how she wakes up in Vegas hungover.

With a husband.

And a huge rock on her finger.

Oh, and don’t forget about the tattoo on her left butt cheek of his name. Too bad she has no recollection of any of it.

Since her husband happens to be David Ferris, a rocks star, what happens in Vegas certainly isn’t staying in Vegas.

Retreating to David’s temporary home in LA does not go well for the couple. Jealous bitches abound, smarmy lawyers and their ass hat ways and some band mates that seem less than enthused about the new girl in their lives lead Ev and David to head to his house in Monterey in order to try and make sense of the situation. And so begins new couple phase for Evelyn and David.
”You don’t want me to lie and say everything’s always fucking unicorns and rainbows, do you?”

“Maybe. Yes. People are going to know these are about me. I have a reputation as a constant delight to protect.”

Her inner monologues are hilarious and I could absolutely understand why David fell fast and hard for her. In his world of suck ups and people who always want something from him, she has to be considered a breath of fresh air. David’s no slouch, either. He’s possessive, sweet, funny but definitely flawed. His luck with the women in his life standing by him is crap and this takes its toll on the relationship more than once. These two go through some serious relationship stuff in the course of about a month and they both have some serious come to Jesus moments before the eventual HEA. That being said, if you can’t handle the insta-love thing this book may not be for you.

This book though. This would be my second rockstar themed book and it was just so fun. I love David and Ev together. I think that the whole 'oops we accidentally got married' plot line was done well. There wasn't really any part in the book I wanted it to move faster. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I would recommend this for those who love sexy rockstars.

If I read this in 2013/2014 I think it'd be a 5 star favorite. I really am enjoying finishing up the Stage Dive series. It's very new adultish and popcorny. You just keep going and it's a total blast, but nothing overly memorable.

Holy Crap...Loved loved loved this book! Lick (Stage Dive #1) is definitely one of my favorite books of the year so far. It was hot, sexy, swoony, and sweet. Lick is about a girl named Evelyn and on her 21st birthday she and her bff decide to go to Vegas to celebrate. The morning after Ev's 21st birthday she wakes up with not only a nasty hangover but, a 5 carat diamond ring on her finger, a hot guy in her hotel room, and no memory of anything that happened the night before or who the guy is. That hot tattoo'd guy that Ev has not idea who he is, happens to be David Ferris lead guitarist for a popular band called Stage Dive.

I loved Evelyn (or Ev) as a heroine. SHe wasn't a pushover or whiney, She actually has one of the best personalities as book heroins go. She was completely real and honest and has a wicked sense of humor. I also found her to me mature for her age which I really liked.

Now, lets talk about David Ferris. The freaking HOT rockstar with tattoo's. You'd think with him being a rockstar that he's going to be another one of those cliché rockstars that's a complete asshole. Well, he's totally not. David Ferris is sweet and will do whatever it takes to make it work with Ev. HE says some things that'll make you want to jump in the pages of this book and rub yourself on him. Here are some of my favorite David quotes.

"They'e love songs, baby. Love isn't always smooth or straightforward. It can be messy and painful," he said, "Doesn't mean it isn't still the most incredible;e thing that can ever happen to you. Doesn't mean I'm not crazy about you."

"Fuck-drunk suits you Evelyn." A hand smoothed over my hip and he smiled down at me. "I'll eat you out whenever you like. You only have to ask"

That's only 2 of some wicked hot things that David says, and he says a lot of panty melting things.
I loved David & Evelyn together. Their relationship didn't seem forced or fake. Their chemistry & connection was so real and totally off the charts. They also had this way of bantering back and forth with each other which was fun. Don't get me wrong, they both had there own problem they needed to deal with & the way they dealt with them was realistic. I also, have to mention that the secondary characters were awesome. It's not often I love the secondary characters as much as I loved them in this book (especially Mal). They brought some flare to the story. I'd actually read books on the secondary characters.

I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series. I highly recommend this book to everyone!
