Visions book 2 delivered what book 1 failed to. Jules' relationships grew in depth, while we got to know her siblings Trey and Rowan so much better. Sawyer became the proverbial broken boy, whose swoon worthy love quips grabbed both Jules' and our attention and now we all love him. McMann brings friendship and loyalty to a whole new level, with four friends/family willing to put themselves on the line for each other regardless of the cost. Heroes are born not created and that is why Jules, Sawyer, and Trey act because they believe it is the only choice. The family rivalry pushed all the characters to adapt to a life beyond their parents stunted vision, building lives beyond hate and the pettiness of hating ones self for mistakes of the past.

Lisa Mcmann continues her Visions series with "Bang" which in my opinion, is just as good-if not better than the first. She does an excellent job at including morals into these novels and incorporates responsibility and family ties and admirable traits. I love Lisa's writing and I would highly recommend this series to all teens. She writes as a characters that stick up for themselves and those they love, which to me makes them great role models. Combine that with a thriller setting and you have an awesome book.

This book was such a quick read, much like the first in this trilogy. I look forward to the finale, because they're not bad reads. I like the characters. I like how things aren't perfect. The plot is always well played, and there's just enough of a cliff hanger at the end to make you say, "Okay...I need the next one!"

An interesting side note: I can't remember the main character's name. I just closed the book 2 minutes ago.

Hm. I had more trouble getting into this one than I did with Crash. I was very surprised to see that Jules was the narrator again, despite the visions belonging to Sawyer. I thought it would have been really neat to see Sawyer's POV. At this point, I'm invested in every storyline except for the visions, so I hope the next (final?) book in the series ties the pizzeria rivalry and the visions together in some way, instead of the visions being a parallel storyline. I'm really excited to see what's going to happen in Jules' family now that the affair is out of the bag. I wish we had found out who got the visions this time at the end of this book. I'm worried that a large part of the next book is just going to be a boring search, but we'll just have to wait and see.

My rate: 10/10. I actually read this book in 12 hours and 15 minuets (not relative, but quite proud) which is a record of me finishing a book. In participating in Deweys 24 hr readathon, I decided to read book 2 (this one) and book 3. I haven’t read the 3rd one yet for today. Anyways, definitely really good, left me hanging on my edge of my desk chair. I can’t really say much since it is book 2, I do recommend this book.

I don’t see too many books from Lisa but when I do find one by her, it’s always an amazing read. This is the only second trilogy that I have read from her and I loved every minute of it. They’re also short but to the point which I definitely appreciate.

The only downside for me was that the books felt rushed because it’s incredibly short at just over 200 pages. I do wish that the author fleshed out the characters a little more, prolonged the plot just a bit more, etc. However, at the same time, I also think that if the author made it longer, it wouldn’t have felt as impactful as it did because it was short and to the point.

My favorite part in the series is definitely the characters. I fell in love with Jules and Sawyer as well as Jules’ siblings. I loved the dynamic between her and her siblings because it was obvious how close they all were and the lengths that they went through for one another. Those were definitely sibling goals and I loved that interaction so much. Not only that but the fact that both her siblings believed Jules when she first shared the fact that she was seeing visions just spoke volumes to me. They didn’t even once deny what she was saying and refute it but instead, listened and went with it.

The plot was also very intriguing and I loved the fact that the vision situation was passed along because it reminded me a little of “pay it forward” which is when you pass on a good deed and the person who you did that for continued it to someone else. I’m not going to say what happens when you don’t because spoilers but I loved that little tidbit as well.

Overall, this was a very short but awesome trilogy. I definitely recommend it!

After I finished Crash, I wasn't sure I would read this one. It sounded as if it had the same premise, just with someone else with a different vision. I took a chance and requested it on Edelweiss just to see if I would be approved, and if so, I would read it. In short, obviously I was approved. So I gave it a shot. (That was a really, really bad pun....)
In this installment to the Visions series, Jules is still healing from the events that happened at the end of Crash and Sawyer has just revealed that he is now getting the visions. Jules feels responsible for it, so her and Trey help him figure it out. And a good thing too, because this situation is alot more dangerous than in Crash.
What I loved most about this book though was the romance. That one kiss between Sawyer and Jules in the pool area (if you read it, you know what I mean...) In this book we get a better glimpse into their relationship. And trust me, it sizzles. I think what I liked most about it was they cared more about themselves and the vision versus trying to make their parents happy. Everyone grew up a ton.
The writing in this installment is drastically better than the last one as well. This one was infinitely easier to stomach and it called for a much easier read. And because of this, I enjoyed it more. I just wished that it had been a little different than the previous one. Granted this one had a much more dangerous situation, but the execution on trying to find out what it was about was mostly the same. But it was still better than the last.
This series is getting better as it goes on. I can only imagine what is to come in the next one. Especially with the connection that they made at the end of the book. The visions make a lot more sense and everything is coming together. All from that one connection at the end.
