For me, it's tough to read a book about meditation when there's so much of an auditory aspect to meditations. Harris does provide great tips for those who may be skeptical and the book does offer access to the app, which includes guided meditations. At times, the writing seemed a bit self-indulgent when describing their own experiences and perspectives, but I think this can be a great way to begin mindful meditation.

Interesting read, liked that the focus was very practical and research based and less spiritual. Author is a wee bit annoying though, definitely wouldn't grab a beer with him.

I'm as far as I'm going to get in this book. It's well written and entertaining, but I can't make it past the first few lessons. I'm just not willing to dedicate the time to meditation.
