I'm giving this book the highest star rating that I can... because it's just that good.
Packed with useful and eye opening information, this book is an invaluable tool for learning how to choose the most nutrient dense fruits and vegetables.
You will come away amazed at the origins of our modern day produce and be inspired by the helpful tips and tricks for making the foods we eat more nutritious. I can't say enough good things about this book. It honestly might change your life. I feel like in a small way, it did mine.
Hands down one of the best books I have read in a very long time.

I wish I could say this book had some redeeming qualities but alas, I cannot. It started out alright but somewhere along the way (and not very far along), it took a deep dive off the side of a steep precipice and I never recovered from the subsequent downward spiral. The characters are completely unlovable, the plot is half-baked and the emotions that you'd expect to feel during certain "climactic" moments are just not there. A waste of my precious time.

I enjoyed this book quite thoroughly. It left me feeling empowered and emboldened. Learning to set healthy boundaries is so important and I'd say that's pretty much what the entire premise of the book is about. It is more of a manifesto than a "how to guide" but regardless, I came away from it feeling equipped with the confidence I needed to be a little more rude.

Great content but poorly executed. There was a lot of repetion, which quickly grew tedious. What was spread out over nearly 300 pages could easily have been condensed down into 100... without losing any of the crucial and important information.
However, I did enjoy the subject matter and found it to be quite fascinating and inspiring... so there is that.

"Arthur listened for a short while, but being unable to understand the vast majority of what Ford was saying he began to let his mind wander."

I felt precisely this way throughout the entirety of this book. Absolute jibberish and not my cup of tea.
One star only out of respect for its cult following I guess, idk.

Wonderful, informative read. There is, however, alot of new information and terminology (to me) that made my reading progress a bit slow. However, it was well worth it! I've come away knowing far more about Ayurveda than I did before I began this book. It has motivated me further to continue learning about Ayurveda and applying these principles to my own life.

Overall a great, informative read. Droned on for a bit at points but I enjoyed the statistics and personal anecdotes.
Could the book have been condensed a bit? Sure. There were some points where I felt like the same thing was being repeated, just in a different way.
At the end of the day, the takeaway is as one would expect: Spending time in nature is crucial for our wellbeing and health. Spend as much time out in it as you can.
If you're looking for a convincing compilation of evidence to support the notion of the power of nature, you will find this book is exactly that, plus a little more.
