As a fan of this series from the beginning I was very interested to see how Kristian and Aileen's story was going to unfold. I have to say I was definitely not disappointed. This was a one day read for me because I just couldn't put it down. Aileen is such a strong, joyful woman who appreciates all she has because she is a cancer survivor. Kristian is a broody, intense and perhaps a bit emotionally damaged due to his childhood and what he had to do to survive. This is a beautiful, emotional story of healing as two survivor's who find love in one another. It is a great mixture of sweet romantic moments, emotional reveals and some incredibly hot scenes. All your favorite Quantum characters are back and you will fall in love with Aileen's sweet children Logan and Maddie. I really enjoyed this book and am hopeful there will be at least one or two more in the series. I would really like to see both Emmett and Marlowe find their own loves.

Giving three stars because that's the best I can do. Didn't plan to continue this series, but it popped up on my library hold list so I decided to give it a try. I'm still intrigued by the characters and still enjoy the story-lines. I love their devotion to each other and they way they make their friendships a priority, but I'm so tired of the prominent role BDSM plays in their lives. These people are committed to busy stressful careers, yet they manage to spend an inordinate amount of time planning, thinking about, discussing and having sex. They must have more hours in their days that the rest of us.
It really bothered me that a recent breast-cancer survivor, still suffering from after-effects of her treatment, was able to jump into "the life" so totally and effortlessly. On the one-year anniversary of her diagnosis, she's more than ready to go for it. Such an unrealistic portrayal. Where the heck did she get all that energy while dealing with post-chemo fatigue and chemo-brain (by her own admission), not to mention mental insecurities and uncertainties, two children, a cross-country move and a new job?
Ms. Force threw some hints that maybe the Quantum group is also getting tired of the scene, so maybe the rest of the series can proceed a bit differently.

Aileen, a cancer survivor and single mother of two children, moves to Los Angeles to be with Kristian, Hollywood producer, friend of her friends, and her new boss. I guess she moved for other reasons, but this is the one she keeps saying. She's met him a few times before and it's insta-love between them. But there's also a lot of drama and melodrama going on.
They're both terrific people, especially Aileen who's a wonderful mom (we're told that a lot, but it does seem to be true). Kristian has a lot of trust issues and is tortured by his past. This relationship should work better, but I was disappointed by all the introspection that seemed more like whining to me.
I like Marie Force's books. I've read most of her Gansett Island and Green Mountain series as well as a couple of her Fatal books. This was the first book in this series I've read, and I just wish there had been more development to the story. It was just an okay read for me.

I absolutely love this series and all of the Quantum characters. After we have been through so much with all of them, they feel like family to me and I hate to see this series end.
I have been looking forward to Aileen and Kristian's story and it didn't disappoint me. It broke my heart for everything that Kristian went through at such a young age, but it broke it more that he has held all of that in for so long. He doesn't think he deserves something as good as Aileen and her children, but she stands up to him and for him.
Aileen had also been through a lot and she is determined not to waste a day worrying about what could happen. She wants to live life at it's fullest and don't want to have any regrets about what could have been. They agree it take it one day at a time, but after spending time with her, Kristian is hooked.
I loved seeing them together and loved how their story ended.

The Quantum series is one that I've enjoyed. Each couple brought a little something different into the family that has made up this erotic series. Kristian and Aileen's story has been one that I've looked forward to the most. After everything Aileen had been through, she deserved a HEA. And Kristian was the tortured kind of hero that I love. But their romance almost felt rushed and it took away a bit from their overall story.
Aileen and Kristian have almost the same level of insta-love that Flynn and Natalie had. But where that worked for Flynn and Natalie over three books, felt rushed in DELIRIOUS. Kristian had a lot of issues. Issues that won't go away because Aileen sat with him in his closet. And given how the book started with his issues of inadequacy rearing its head on a night he'd been looking forward to, I'd expect a little more hesitation on Kristian's part and the two of them really needing to work through what happened to Kristian.
Then there was Aileen's health. They both had significant issues when it came to Aileen's cancer and they looked at those issues differently. I would have expected this to be a major issue that needed to be worked through. Add in the kids and I needed more than the 248 pages it took to get through this story.
This doesn't mean it wasn't a great read...it was. But given the tough subject matter (which almost rivaled Natalie's) I wanted more to feel confident this couple had truly worked through the issues that popped up in order to believe the HEA.

Delirious is a sweet, romantic, erotic, and super-steamy read (I know, that sounds somewhat contradictory, but I swear it is all of those things!) between two characters who clearly deserve their HEAs and then some. The story did feel a bit rushed at times--there's a degree of insta-love going on, and Kristian had some pretty major-league issues and hangups that don't seem as if they really could have been fixed quite as easily as they seem to have been here--but at the same time, you really want Aileen and Kristian to find happiness, so it's hard to get *too* worked up about it.
If you enjoy fairy-tale style stories with a single mom/cancer survivor/Cinderella and a healthy helping of erotic scenes enough that a departure from 100% total realism isn't going to be a problem, then this is the book for you :)

I'm a big fan of the series and have enjoyed all the couples we've met. But...Aileen & Kristian hold a special place in my heart after reading Delirious. And not just because I can commiserate with Aileen's breast cancer struggles, having been through it myself. Nope. It was the sweet, touching connection that grew between the couple, along with Kristian being a tortured hero I just wanted to help. Yes, it happened fast between them--almost inta-lust/love--but it was addressed in the book and I was personally fine with that. I've seen that some readers took issue with Kristian being unsure of himself deserving love and affection. I honestly found it rather refreshing for it to be the hero who had those doubts instead of the heroine as we typically see. And given his horrific past, I think Kristian was written in a convincing manner in regard to his doubts.
A beautiful relationship between two deserving people. Adorable kids. And the camaraderie between the Quantum group fans adore. Delirious was a heartfelt story that dabbled in light BDSM but mostly focused on the all-encompassing romance between Aileen and Kristian.

Kristian Bowen is the producer for the Quantum Group. He has a troubled past that his partners don't know about. Kristian is clearly strong because he overcame terrible adversity. He lives a very controlled life. Meeting Natalie's friend, Aileen Gifford, at Flynn and Natalie's wedding through him for a loop. He's attracted to the single mom but he's also interested in her. Aileen has her own sad backstory. She's very strong. She and her kids have moved to California and she will be working for Quantum. Kris's first reaction is to run and hide. But, he faces Aileen and their attraction. It was great to see the female lead as the really strong and brave character. She helped Kris with hang ups and was there for him when he needed her. He began to see that she loved him and would stick with him no matter what. I loved Kristian with Aileen's kids. He was so concerned about doing things right and it all came very naturally to him. This was a romantic story with a great HEA.
